Krist Joins Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce

Quinnesec, MICH – On August 15, representatives from Krist and the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce met for a ribbon cutting at their Quinnesec location. This gathering represents the commitment Krist has made to the area and to being an involved community entity. This commitment goes beyond Quinnesec–today, they own and operate 78 convenience store locations across Michigan, Northern Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Five locations can be found in Iron Mountain, Quinnesec and Norway. Krist also operates several propane plants in the Dickinson County area. And prices are competitive as Krist continues to serve the small and local communities who have supported the company since the beginning.

Krist Oil was born during the early years of World War I in 1917, when Krist Atanasoff decided to purchase a candy store in the small town of Caspian in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He came to the United States in 1909 from southeastern Europe. Like many of our ancestors, he came to America in search of a better opportunity–that’s just what he found. Rising above illness and injury, Krist created a legacy which his family continues to carry. See more KRISTORY on our Youtube.

Thank you to the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce for welcoming us!
