Part Three: Gold, Legacy & What’s Next

Proof That Grit Has No Expiration Date

At the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, Nick Baumgartner finally reached the top of the podium. Teaming up with Lindsey Jacobellis, he won gold in the inaugural mixed snowboard cross event — becoming the oldest Olympic snowboard medalist in history.

The victory was emotional, historic, and deeply earned. It wasn’t just a win — it was the culmination of decades of belief, sacrifice, and resilience.

And Nick wasn’t done.

Nick has since qualified to compete in the 2026 Winter Olympics, continuing to defy expectations and prove that passion doesn’t fade with age. From building training setups at home to pushing himself every season, he remains fully committed to what’s next.

Krist is proud to continue supporting Nick — from his early days working at Krist as a teenager to standing alongside him as an Olympic champion and hometown hero.

Nick’s story isn’t just about medals. It’s about hard work, loyalty, and believing in the long game. The same values that define Krist — and the communities we serve — are the ones Nick has lived by his entire career.

Watch Nick compete once again tomorrow, February 12. We will be cheering him on and hope you will too!
