Cooking Wild Seasonings Recipe – Sweet and Smokey BBQ Meatloaf Bites

Check out this delicious and easy Cooking Wild Seasonings recipe for Sweet and Smokey BBQ Meatloaf Bites made with Cooking Wild Seasonings Jerky seasoning packs.

What you’ll need to make it:

  • CWS Sweet & Smokey Jerky seasoning OR CWS Sweet & Spicy Jerky seasoning
  • Ground meat of choice (beef, venison, pork, etc.)
  • Breadcrumbs
  • BBQ sauce of choice


  • Cooking sheet
  • Cooling rack
  • Mixing bowl
  • Small bowl
  • Wax paper
  • Cooking spray


Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Follow directions on back of seasoning pack to follow recommended amounts of seasoning per pound of meat. (Ex. 1/2 lb meat gets 2 tbsp seasoning.)

Place ground meat into a mixing bowl.

Measure out necessary amount of seasoning and put it into a small bowl. Add water to the seasoning and mix well before pouring and kneading it into the meat.

Add breadcrumbs.

Shape your ground meat into a snack stick shape and cut it into bite size pieces, or take bite sized amounts of the meat mixture and roll them into balls.

Line a cooking sheet with wax paper, place a cooling rack on top and spray cooling rack with cooking spray for your own convenience later on.

Place bites on rack and put them in the oven for 15-20 minutes (or until they reach an internal temperature of 145-150 degrees).

Once they’re done, toss the bites in your favorite BBQ sauce. Coat them completely, put them back on the rack, and into the oven for another 5 minutes. Serve with rice, pasta, salad, mashed potatoes, the list goes on!
